Sports Medicine

Sports Medicine is an integral component in our athletic department's Comprehensive Circle of Care (CCC). You will find that our training room ranks among the most innovative and accomplished facilities among Tampa Bay Area high schools.

Our Sports Medicine program is led by longtime CCC trainer Kai Kline, a dedicated athletic trainer with over 17 years of experience caring for athletes in Florida. He holds both a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sports Science and a Masters of Science in Applied Physiology and Kiniseology from the University of Florida. His extensive academic background, coupled with hands-on experience at both collegiate and high school levels, equips him with the skills to provide exceptional care for our student-athletes. Further, his expertise encompasses on-site injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation. The state-of-the-art sports medicine clinic on our campus offers advanced recovery modalities and comprehensive post-surgical care.

However, what truly makes our sports medicine department gold-plated is CCC's status as a National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) Safe Sports School Program! This prestigious designation recognizes our committment to providing the highest level of safety and care for our student-athletes. By becoming a NATA Safe School, CCC demonstrates our dedication to:
  • Preventing Injuries: Implementing comprehensive injury prevention programs
  • Providing Quality Care: Ensuring access to certified athletic trainers, medical professionals, and life saving AEDS
  • Educating our Community: Promoting Sports Safety awareness among athletes, parents, and coaches
  • Risk Management: Developing and implemeting emergency action plans

We are proud to offer an excellent standard of sports safety to all of our athletic families and participants.
